Cinelli Hobootleg Geo - Shimano Cues 1x11 Mix - Desert Mud

Cinelli Hobootleg Geo is the bike for you if you sometimes find a regular gravel bike a little too limiting. It is built for rougher roads, forest tracks, rockier gravel, and those side roads that look more interesting than the direct route home.

This is the more rugged, more off-road-oriented side of the Hobootleg family. While Red Right Hand is the classic long-distance touring bike and Easy Travel is built for faster touring with lighter loads, the Geo leans more clearly toward off-road riding. The geometry is designed around a shorter stem, wide drop bars, and a zero-offset seatpost, with more tire volume and greater clearance when the road turns into a trail. The Columbus Futura Adventure fork also has an adjustable rake between 45 and 50 mm, allowing the handling characteristics to be adapted to the build and intended use.

The double-butted steel frame provides a reliable and durable foundation for long days with luggage, while the WTB Ranger 29x2.25" tires offer significantly more grip and comfort than the tires on a traditional gravel bike. The frame and fork have room for even larger tires—Cinelli specifies up to 3" measured tire clearance and compatibility with 29x2.4"+—placing the Geo somewhere between gravel, drop-bar MTB, and a modern expedition bike.

Shimano CUES 1x11 with a 36T chainring and an 11–50T cassette provides a wide, simple gear range for steep climbs and riding with luggage. Hydraulic Shimano disc brakes with a 180 mm rotor at the front and a 160 mm rotor at the rear provide control when the terrain gets steeper or more technical. WTB ST i20 TCS 2.0 rims with Shimano TC-500 hubs and Boost standards front and rear reinforce the same idea: this is a bike built for rougher use, not a road bike with slightly wider tires.

Hobootleg Geo is also built for bikepacking from the outset. The frame and fork have numerous mounting points for bags, bottles, and equipment, the cable routing is external and full-length for easy servicing, the frame is prepared for internal dropper-post routing, and the rear derailleur hanger follows the UDH standard. A 73 mm threaded BSA bottom bracket keeps another important part of the construction uncomplicated when the bike is used far from home.

Hobootleg Geo is for you if you want a bikepacking bike with a clear appetite for off-road riding, while still wanting to ride with drop bars and retain Cinelli’s distinctive personality. It is not built to be the fastest on asphalt or the most elegant in the city. It is built to keep going when the road gets worse. Choose it if you are looking for a robust monster gravel bike for bikepacking, forest roads, singletrack, and long rides where the terrain can remain a little uncertain.
