Cinelli Wave is an EVA-based bar tape with a brushed surface for those who want a secure, distinctive grip without making the handlebar unnecessarily thick. The textured surface provides good control in both dry conditions and when your hands or the handlebar become damp, while the 2.5 mm EVA offers a balanced amount of cushioning for road, gravel and other drop-bar cycling.
The brushed surface is inspired by the grip surfaces on booms used in competitive windsurfing and was developed to improve grip and feel without compromising the material’s durability. The result is a relatively simple, understated bar tape where grip takes center stage rather than maximum shock absorption.
Wave is made in Italy from Italian materials and is available in several colors with a distinct 1980s feel – a detail that suits Cinelli rather well. Each roll is 1800 mm long, and the package contains enough bar tape for a complete handlebar, bar plugs and finishing tape.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
