Dia-Compe BRS202 is a front brake for anyone who needs a true long-reach caliper but still wants good stopping power and a clean, classic look. It is particularly well suited to commuter bikes, older steel frames, and other builds where the distance between the fork’s brake mount and the rim is greater than a standard road caliper can accommodate.

The BRS202 has a 57–75 mm reach and a modern dual-pivot design that provides good bite and clear feedback at the brake lever. The brake arms are cold-forged from aluminum to keep the weight down while providing a stiff structure under hard braking.

The Quick Release mechanism makes it easy to open the brake arms when removing the front wheel, without having to disconnect the brake cable. Dia-Compe 101 brake pads are included, and the black anodized finish makes the brake equally at home on a modern commuter build or a classic steel racer.

The important thing before buying is to check which reach your bike requires. Measure from the center of the brake bolt hole in the fork crown to the center of the rim’s braking surface. If the measurement falls between 57 and 75 mm, the BRS202 is designed for the right range.
