Dia-Compe DC980 is a classic cantilever brake in a modernized design. The model builds on Dia-Compe’s original brake from more than 30 years ago, but features updated brake pads and individual spring-tension adjustment on both brake arms.
The forged aluminum arms provide a lightweight and robust construction, while the separate spring adjustment makes it easier to center the brake and ensure both arms work evenly. The DC980 works both front and rear and is well suited to touring, randonneur, cyclocross, and other bikes with traditional cantilever mounts.
Dia-Compe 980 brake pads, straddle wire, and cable guide are included. One purchase corresponds to one brake, so if you need both front and rear brakes, order two.
