You can always rely on Dia-Compe. The ENE Ciclo CLA-1 is a classic threaded 1-inch headset with modern sealed cartridge bearings—a great choice when building or refurbishing an older road, touring, or track bike and you want to retain the traditional construction without giving up a low-maintenance bearing.
The cups are made from 6061 aluminum to keep the weight down and feature a silver anodized finish. The headset uses sealed angular contact cartridge bearings and weighs approximately 95 grams.
This version is Italian 1-inch standard (ITA) with a 1" x 24 TPI thread, 26.4 mm crown race, and 30.2 mm internal diameter in the frame’s head tube. Italian and British/ISO 1-inch threads have the same pitch but differ in thread profile: Italian uses 55°, while ISO uses 60°. In practice, they may fit the same threaded fork, but we recommend sticking to the standard already used on the fork and avoiding switching between them. It does not fit French-threaded forks.
If you are unsure which headset your frame and fork require, it is worth measuring before ordering. Differences of a few tenths of a millimeter matter greatly with older headset standards.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
