Dia-Compe EVO-V V-Brake/Long Pull Road Levers - Black/Silver

Dia-Compe EVO-V is a pair of brake levers for drop bars and V-brakes. It’s an unusual but very useful combination for anyone building a touring bike, gravel bike or another drop-bar setup with powerful V-brakes.

Standard drop-bar brake levers are usually designed for shorter cable pull and therefore don’t work properly with traditional V-brakes. EVO-V levers, on the other hand, are specifically designed for the long pull of V-brakes and pull the amount of cable the brake requires. This provides the correct leverage and significantly better brake control.

The levers feature forged aluminum blades, a BRS return spring and adjustable reach. Using a 2 mm hex key, you can adjust how far the brake lever sits from the handlebar and tailor the reach to your hands.

The classic shape, black rubber hoods and silver brake levers make the EVO-V a particularly nice choice for touring bikes and other builds where you want to combine drop bars with V-brakes without using integrated shifters and brake levers.

Sold as a complete pair for front and rear brakes.

Compatibility

EVO-V levers are long-pull levers designed for V-brakes. They should not be confused with standard short-pull levers for road brakes.

They are therefore not compatible with standard caliper brakes or traditional cantilever brakes, which require short pull.
