Dia-Compe MX-2 Lo-Pro V-Brake
Hurry up, only 1 item left in stock.
The Dia-Compe MX-2 Lo-Pro is an old-school V-brake inspired by the 90s MTB and BMX era, but it works just as well on modern builds. It’s perfect for those building a retro mountain bike, a BMX, a 26-inch commuter, or a custom build where both function and appearance matter.
The low profile gives a clean look while the linear V-brake design provides the stopping power and easy adjustment that have made V-brakes a favorite for many years. The brake arms are made from cold-forged aluminum and feature dual spring tension adjustments, making it easy to center the brake and customize the feel.
The MX-2 Lo-Pro comes with S-pads and is designed for bikes with V-brake mounts. For best performance, it should be used with V-brake levers (long pull).
Need a brake set but we don’t have a complete front and rear pair in stock? The front and rear brakes are basically identical. The only difference is how the brake pads are mounted, which can be easily adjusted during installation. So it’s perfectly fine to buy two front brakes or two rear brakes.
For those looking for a retro V-brake, an old school V-brake, or simply appreciate Dia-Compe’s classic components, the MX-2 Lo-Pro is an obvious choice.

Build your custom dream bicycle with us
Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
