Diatech (Dia-Compe) CB-2 Alloy Headset 1-1/8" Pressfit cups
Available in stock (5)
The Diatech CB-2 is a 1 1/8-inch threadless headset for those building a new bike or looking to replace a worn headset with a reliable solution that requires minimal maintenance.
The headset features press-fit cups made of 7075 aluminum and sealed ACB cartridge bearings that keep dirt and moisture away from the bearings. The split crown race makes installation easier and also facilitates future servicing. An aluminum top cap is included.
The CB-2 fits frames designed for press-fit headsets and forks with a 1 1/8-inch threadless steerer tube. Check your frame’s headset standard before ordering, as several similar systems are not compatible with each other.
A headset may not be the component that gets the most attention on a bike, but it affects steering every time you ride. The Diatech CB-2 is built to be installed and then require as little attention as possible, while the sealed bearings keep steering smooth and play-free over time.
If you don’t have a headset press, we recommend having the installation done by a bike shop. You can also book frame and component work at our workshop in Stockholm.

Build your custom dream bicycle with us
Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
