Halo Vapour GXC 700c 12/142mm TA Centerlock Rear Wheel - Shimano HG - Silver

The Halo Vapour GXC is a lightweight 700c/29" rear wheel for gravel, ultra-distance riding, road plus and light touring. The Special Edition version features a silver rim, hub, spokes and nipples, and is especially interesting if you’re looking for a modern silver gravel wheel with a 12x142 mm thru-axle, Centerlock and Shimano HG freehub body.

The rim has a 21 mm internal width, is Tubeless Ready and comes pre-taped. The GXC Supadrive hub has 120 engagement points for a quick response, and the wheel is built with 32 double-butted J-bend spokes. We like J-bend spokes on gravel and long-distance wheels – if a spoke gets damaged, finding a replacement is much easier than with straight-pull spokes.

At 1025 grams, the Vapour GXC is a great choice if you want a lightweight, serviceable silver gravel rear wheel for long distances and custom builds. The Shimano HG freehub body fits 11-speed road cassettes as well as 8- to 10-speed Shimano/SRAM cassettes with a spacer.
