René Herse 700C x 44 TC Corkscrew Climb Standard Bicycle Tire

René Herse Corkscrew Climb 700x44C is a fast semislick tire for gravel when you want to combine low rolling resistance on hard surfaces with more grip as the road gets looser. The tire was developed in response to requests from gravel riders who wanted the speed of René Herse slicks but better grip in corners, on loose gravel, and when the bike moves under hard acceleration.

Unlike many traditional semislicks, Corkscrew Climb has no clear boundary between a smooth center section and aggressive side knobs. Instead, the tread gradually transitions toward the shoulders, providing a round profile and more predictable grip when the bike is leaned through corners. The first row of side knobs is anchored to the center tread for better stability, while René Herse's noise-damping tread pattern makes the tire unusually quiet on harder surfaces.

The Standard casing is René Herse's most affordable version and combines the supple feel the brand is known for with better durability for regular gravel riding. The tire is 44-622, Tubeless Compatible, and made in Japan with classic tan sidewalls. An interesting choice for fast gravel, long rides on gravel roads, and races where a pure slick feels too limited but a fully knobby tire is more than you need.
