The Unior 1644/4 is a simple chain checker for checking wear before the chain starts wearing out the cassette and chainrings unnecessarily. Place the measuring ends between the chain rollers to see whether wear has reached the tool’s limits of 0.6 and 0.7 percent. The replacement limit for your specific chain follows the chain manufacturer’s recommendation.
The checker is laser-cut from steel and small enough to fit in your tool bag. A useful tool both in the home workshop and on the road. Unior is a Slovenian manufacturer of seriously good bike tools.
