The classic 50.4 BCD cranks are well-known among randonneurs and touring cyclists, and Velo Orange has managed to deliver a very beautiful crankset. These crank arms offer remarkable versatility and fit chainrings from 28T to 62T, while featuring a lightweight design and a narrow Q-factor. This is a modern interpretation of the classic aesthetic with several important improvements. They are manufactured through cold forging from high-quality 7075 aluminum alloy and have thicker rings to eliminate flex commonly found in traditional designs. The outer rings are equipped with modern shifting aids like ramps and pins, significantly enhancing shifting performance. The chainring is made of stainless steel and uses hex nuts and bolts, so you won’t have to struggle with a chainring bolt tool. The dust caps are made of aluminum, and the stainless steel crank bolts are self-extracting.
We use this crankset on gravel bikes where a modern crankset feels out of place; 46/30T combined with an 11-34T cassette has gotten us up the steepest gravel climbs.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.

After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
