The Granola Bar from Velo Orange is a modern take on a traditional city and touring handlebar. It has a comfortable width of 650 mm and a generous 30 mm rise. Combined with a 60-degree backsweep, it gives you a fairly upright position with plenty of control when the surface gets rougher and the speed picks up. The grip area is 180 mm, which is more than enough room for modern-sized grips, brake levers, and shifters. Since the handlebar has so much backsweep, we recommend using a longer stem than you would with MTB or road handlebars; a shorter stem can result in an unstable bike.
