Velocity Atlas 650B MSW is a classic, sturdy aluminum rim for touring, randonneuring, and other bikes with 650B wheels and rim brakes. With its silver finish and relatively wide profile, it is particularly well suited to bikes where you want to combine greater tire volume with a traditional look.
Atlas has an internal width of 19.8 mm and an external width of 25.4 mm, making it well suited to wider touring and all-road tires. MSW stands for Machined Side Wall—the brake surfaces are machined for use with rim brakes. The rim is made of aluminum and has a double-wall construction with eyelets and 32 spoke holes.
This is a good choice for the Brother Cycles Mr Wooden, a frameset we sell that is built around 650B wheels, wide tires, and classic cantilever brakes. The combination is well suited to a thoughtfully designed touring wheel where durability, ease of servicing, and the right look matter more than the lowest possible weight.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
