Growtac Equal is for those who appreciate the simplicity of mechanical disc brakes but want something more refined than ordinary cable brakes. This is a premium set for gravel, touring, road, and custom builds where control, serviceability, and feel matter more than just following the standard solution.
Growtac has become a favorite in the alternative cycling scene precisely because their products feel made by people who truly care about the details. Equal is not an attempt to copy hydraulic brakes but a unique interpretation of how good mechanical disc brakes can feel: direct, clear, and very well tuned.
For those who ride long distances, travel with their bike, or build a bike that’s easy to live with, there’s also a practical advantage. The system is still cable-actuated, which means nothing needs bleeding and a cable issue is easier to handle on the road.
Equal Flat Mount fits bikes with flat mount fittings and short pull levers, typically road, gravel, and touring levers. The set includes two calipers, cables, housings, and an adapter for 140/160 mm front rotors. Note that they are not compatible with V-brake levers.

Consultation meeting
At the first step in the process, we would like to discuss with you what kind of bicycle you are looking for, and what budget you have. It is best if we arrange a meeting for this, either in the shop or online.
Quote
After a paid deposit or purchase of a frame set, we send you a detailed quote. At this stage, there is still every opportunity to adjust the choice of parts.
The bicycle is assembled
Now things are starting to happen! The quote is finalized. We order components and put everything together ahead of the build. Depending on your choice of parts, it takes different amounts of time to assemble the bike, but two weeks from approved quote is usually enough.
The bicycle is ready for delivery
You are welcome to collect your custom bicycle. We also offer shipping to all corners of the world. From our initial meeting, we have taken your measurements so that you sit correctly on the bicycle. Before handing it over, we make small adjustments together with you and, if desired, go through how to adjust and take care of the bicycle. Happy riding! =)
